I think we all need to be responsible for our contribution to pollution.
Companies should be encouraged to use recyclable or recycled material, and taxed or penalised for using non-recyclable material.
The money gained through taxing contributors to pollution should be used to fund environmental projects.
I think it really start from each of us… every small improvement can change a lot: recycling, using natural product instead of synthetic ones, walking and cycling instead of driving… so many things can be done!
I think the best way to clean up pollution is to not create it in the first place. I think Kevin’s right about taxes being the best way to change how companies and consumers approach the problem. It seems cheap for a company to package something in plastic today, but if they had to pay the full cost of cleaning up the plastic that ends up polluting the environment, they might choose a different type of packaging. I’m trying to reduce the amount of packaging I buy, but they really don’t make it easy!
We need to make good use of public transport, maybe use the bike instead of the car to go to school or work. If we find the way to live producing minimum waste the pollution would decrease
