• Question: what was the best invenchun when you were a kid

      I don’t know if everyone else would agree, bit I thought construction sets like Lego and Meccano were the best invention when I was a kid.
      With a bit of effort, you could build almost anything.

      I once built a crane from Meccano, and my father helped me make an electromagnet from a steel nail and some wire, which I powered with a car battery charger.
      By turning the charger on and off, I could use the crane to pick up other pieces of Meccano.

      I agree with Kevin. I had loads of Lego when I was a kid, including Technic Lego that I could use to build machines. I learned a lot about gears and motors and stuff like that by trial and error. I think those kind of construction toys are an amazing invention for developing kids’ creativity and understanding.

      Absolutely 🙂 I played with Lego a lot, even though when I was a child did not have as many options as it does today.
      Lego is a great tool to design technology platforms, the new Lego sets bring some photonic integrated components that allow you to create wireless and sensing actions with robotic arms, etc… options are infinite! it is great fun

      I agree with the others engineers! Lego and constructions! I loved also Crystal ball!! but I guess it was toxic, not very popular anymore… better like that!
