I would create a demo to explain the nature of light creating a miniature rainbow inside an aquarium. This will be a rainbow anyone can reproduce at home. This can be simply done, using a withe LED and a miniature hose which create tiny water droplets.
There would be a remote control that can change the size of the droplets as well as the colour of the light (red, blue, green and white). If I am successful, I can even create a double rainbow inside the aquarium!
I would donate education kit and material to a small school in Addis Abeba, in Ethiopia. It is called “school” but it is actually a place where kids can play and spend their time having fun while learning things. I would bring them the paper microscope: it is a very cheap microscope made of paper… they will get the chance to discover cells. This school is in a very poor area of the town where the kids have not much opportunities to learn things and do funny activities.
I would give them also colours, papers, clay to discover art: those things that are so normal for us for them are rare and difficult to have.
I’d buy components for kits so that I can run free robotics/electronics workshops where everyone gets to bring home their own programmable robot. I already run workshops like this, but with 500 euro I could buy parts for more kits!
I would purchase the necessary parts to build kits to be provided to interested schools to explain some basic electronics hardware concepts.
I will try to provide documentation for simple experiments, as well as some further information for student who want to learn a bit more or adapt the hardware for their own projects.
